Have you see how much has been arriving in our Boys Departments lately?

Well, we have to admit - it’s true - that we get so caught up in the beautiful little girls’ dresses that our Boys Departments have some times been the “step child” so to speak.

This Spring we really buckled down and started working for you, our customers with boys. . . .

You will find a really nice selection of basic suits in the “Tailored Suits’ department, which are further broken down for you by price categories:

  • Economy - these are great suits at great prices!  It’s pretty safe to say here that they will be all polyester; almost all come complete with shirt & tie - some with vests!
  • Moderate - these are even better suits and still at great prices!  Most are a poly/rayon blend with a beautiful drape that make them look very good indeed. Made with fine detailing; they are usually jacket and pants; shirts and accessories are available separately.
  • Better - these are wool or wool blend suits - still at great prices!  While really, really fine boys’ suits can run $240-$360 (and even more) - these are AFFORDABLE good suits you’d be proud for him to wear.
  • Tuxedos - yep, boys’ tuxedos in the most popular colors - and several with optional colored cummerbund/tie sets and/or colored vests.
  • Informal suits - these are shorts or long pants outfits that are neat, trim and stylish but a little less formal - usually with a vest.  In wonderful colors for baby boys and older boys - especially Ring Bearers.

In addition, we have darling BABY SUITS arriving regularly - these are great for Bris, Baptism - even just plain showing off your new baby boy.

Where will you find them?

In two places, really:

Boys Department - our complete Boys’ Special Occasions Boutique.

Christening Department - scroll down to see the Boy Christening Gowns and Christening Suits Departments.

Depending on the focus.

Is there any “rule” about which you have to shop in for your occasion?  Absolutely none!  We just try to make shopping as easy and convenient for you as possible.

And this Fall you’ll be seeing a lot more results of our extensive work for you as terrific new suit styles we have been working on start to become available.

Stay tuned!

Woohoo!  We’ve added Husky Sizes to several colors of pants now too!  Available in our Separates Department.

(Nope - we don’t have a separate photo for each color of pants - sorry.   The khaki photo really shows them off the best anyway.)

Boys’ Blazer now in Husky SizesOur boys’ blazer #CV-779 is now available in HUSKY sizes!

This is a very popular blazer - in fact, this entire line is very popular.

We have just added husky sizes.  That is, while supplies last . . . .

Does this blazer qualify for our Communion Portrait Drawing?  ABSOLUTELY!  (See below for details)

Shopping for a girl for First Communion is easy - she wears a white Communion dress and veil.  The variations on this theme are certainly endless, but that part is for sure.

But it’s not like that for boys making their First Communion.  Color comes into the picture.

First - be sure to ask your director what they request.  They may have certain criteria, yet again, they may not.

Then  check to see what is common in your area.

Now we’ll cover the options:

  • A classic tailored suit.  We see the most in navy or black, but medium to dark grey is certainly used as well.  Brown is now available, too.  This is worn with a white dress shirt and long, conservative tie.  The tie may be plain colored or with a moderate pattern and can match or be contrasting.  Dark dress shoes are worn.
  • A white suit.  This is not as common today as it once was, but it is still the suit of choice in many locations - especially in warm climates and along the coast.  The white suit is worn with a white dress shirt and long white (plain) tie.  Shoes are likely to be white as well.
  • A white tuxedo.  This is far less common today.  However, tuxedos are available in dinner jacket rather than tail styles, which would be preferred if a tuxedo is chosen.
  • Dark blazer and pants.  This is becoming more and more popular these days.  A dark blazer - usually navy - is worn with dress pants.  The pants can be tan, grey or white.  This is worn with a white dress shirt and long tie that is usually a contrasting color such as red or yellow; it can be plain or with a small pattern.  Dark dress shoes are worn with this.

The Perfect Pear has all these choices at your finger tips in our Boys Suits & Tuxedos Boutique!

You will find tailored suits in three price categories - Economy, Moderate and Fine.  You will find single- and double-breasted styles.  You will also find blazers and pants, shirts in accessories - even shoes!

And of course, we have quite a selection of boys tuxedos.

Irish-Shamrock Communion DressesWe are often asked - is it possible to get an IRISH First Communion style?

The answer - YES!

We hear requests for Irish First Communion dresses all year - but they’re not all that common or available.  We look high and low for dresses with shamrocks, specifically.

Guess what?  Not only do we have them — they’re also very economically priced!  In fact, you’ll find them in our Budget Sensitive Communion Dresses Department.

And yes, we have something for the boys too!  No, we don’t have boys’ suits covered in shamrocks — what we have are ties with shamrocks in our Boys Suits - Separates Department. Just a little shamrock to add Irish to his day.

And of course - we have Irish Christening gowns and suits for babies, too.

A long-time favorite baby suit for our Irish friends has returned - #LM-GBSH41K:Irish Baby Suit #LM-GBSH41K  This darling suit is a classic.  In fact, it was SO popular that it wasn’t available for a while — but it’s back!

This one-piece baby suit is a spin off of the nautical theme with the big split collar and sailor hat.  The collar is ribbon trimmed and has the expected tie in front.

The Irish detailing is in the embroidery on the “dickie” inset showing three shamrocks.  Traditionally the shamrock is revered as a symbol referencing the Holy Spirit with three leaves.  This is a set of three shamrocks with three leaves each.

Perfect for Baptism or Christening!
